An E mail from Jackie ask's? Where did the song Eden Come from and is it an
original. I have listened to Eve's Regret for a long time..(.Paramore has
completely ripped you guys off ) and Eden sounds nothing like anything
you have done before. I'll Let Adam answer this one. Eden is ours, Kari wrote most of the music and did most of the arranging. The lyrics were written by Kari's Next door neighbor except the bridge parts were written by our own lovable drummer! We have never shied away from any musical endeavor in our career. This was a great exercise for me in particular. coming from a metal background I had to completely change my way of playing. So that song is great fun to play. The fact is there is so much going on the whole band loves to play the song. Adam Now my turn. where did you get a copy of Eden? that song has not been released and I am not sure it has even been mixed properly. Has it? I know a few people were given advanced copies of some of the things we have been working on but I never really intended for these songs to get out just yet. Oh well Ces't La Vie I suppose. As far as Paramore goes, Thanks I listen to them, I like some of there tunes but really don't hear the similarities. Your not the first to say however. and yes Eve came first! Tim
Well Cindy, the truth is at this point we can't. Nobody remembers them and there are no known complete recordings. We have tried recently to play Kaija but to no avail. Adam is trying to find some older video and audio footage of the song so we can try to get that one recorded! Tim. An E-mail from Jeff asks, What is The Killer song about? Well Jeff, Killer is about the way the world seems to us. We all have the power to change the world we live in but refuse to do so. Some may remember the Clown burger place (our lawyers say we can't mention it by name) had a slogan that said "You deserve a break today" Young William took it just a bit further and said yeah you know we could save you but there aint no way! so quite simply put even if we have the power and the knowledge to save our own way of life the world is just way to lazy and self absorbed to do that! Kari, Tim& Adam This E-mail I will post in its entirety Dear Eve. I have a copy of a CD that I have no idea the name of. A friend of mine in the S.F. Bay area made me a copy of this CD but with no notes or writing other than Eve's Regret. I am hoping this is you and would like to know if you are still making music? some lyrics on this CD include (my personal favorite) "one last injection one final high, strapped to this metal animal my bliss" " beat me hard to stable ground" also there is a song that includes the lines " I've died here once, I'll die here again" "I've died here in vain cause the fight was not mine" Thank you, Kalin vionovich. Dear Kalin, yes we are the ones responsible for those songs. those songs came out on "Damn That Hurt" the first is called Odyssey and the second is called Seiunchin. pronounced Say-un-chin. meaning the war dance. the track list is in this order What I am, Quayside Lights, Sniffing Caesar Salad, Purple Room, Odyssey, Star Farmer Seiunchin, Georgian Fall. on a personal note Caesar and Georgian also show up on "Saving Detroit" they are Georgian Shows up re-recorded and Caesar shows up as A remix. Adam recently found a copy of Damn That Hurt and it was the first time in several years we sat down as a group and listened to the record in its entirety. It was very nice for us to relax and listen to that record. Funny it gave us a little more motivation to finish "I don't Recall Asking' which up to now has been lacking by the group. This is just my opinion, when comparing The last two records Damn that hurt for me is more emotional and a much better representation of what Eve is about. Tim.
